Day out at the park

Martin Dies, Jr. State Park, just a short 15 minute car journey from our hotel, offers its visitors a range of recreational opportunities. At the picturesque park you can hike, go cycling, try your hand at fishing, paddle out on the water, or gaze up at the stars, among many other activities.

And if you don’t get your fill of fun at Martin Dies, Jr., then we have another beautiful of Texas located nearby. At Big Thicket National Preserve - located 25 minutes south of our hotel - you can go paddling among the creeks and river of the preserve, or you can just go exploring with the family in tow. Whatever you do, it;ll be a memorable day out!

Ready to step back in time? Heritage Village is one of Woodville’s most popular attractions. As you explore the village, you’ll be gaining an insight into what life was like back in mid-nineteenth century. Old or young, it’s always a good day out at the Heritage Village!
